My story
Courtney Donkin is a distinguished healthcare executive, critical care clinician, and visionary entrepreneur with two decades of elite clinical and operational experience across Australia and the United Kingdom.
Courtney launched her healthcare career at the University of Newcastle, earning a Bachelor of Nursing alongside a prestigious academic scholarship from the Royal College of Nursing Australia. She then advanced her specialised clinical expertise by completing two postgraduate certificates through the University of Tasmania and the Australian College of Nursing (ACN).
Relocating to London, Courtney spent a decade at the apex of private healthcare on world renowned Harley Street, serving as Clinical Nurse Director and Manager of two of the UK’s premier IVF clinics. During her ten-year tenure in the United Kingdom, she emerged as a prominent voice in health governance and policy, serving on the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) Patient Forum and spending four years on the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Perioperative Forum Committee. Throughout her leadership journey, Courtney has been an unapologetic champion of professional unionism, advocating fiercely for nurse representation, workplace rights, and executive transparency across the healthcare sector.
Now based back home on the Coffs Coast for the past two years, Courtney is leveraging her international leadership, clinical mastery, and patient advocacy to reshape healthcare staffing. As the founder of a pioneering nursing agency, she is piloting a revolutionary model designed to grant nurses genuine operational autonomy, elevated respect, and market leading flexibility—starting right on the Coffs Coast. Her clinical and management journey will be published in her upcoming 2027 non-fiction book, Don’t Put All Your Eggs in One Basket.
